What started as a project to capture the majesty and beauty of the Canadian Rockies, Jasper no Kodō has become THE North Star of the Folkwinds Aesthetic: our flagship perfume.
Now in its third iteration, Jasper’s formula has been fine tuned from the ground up, with a focus on clarity. Wearing Jasper No Kodō III feels as clean and clear as the glacial streams flowing from its namesake park.
It’s no secret that Jasper is my favorite perfume. I love wearing it. I love blending it. I love traveling to its namesake park. Over the past year, I’ve listed to all of your feedback regarding Jasper II, and have crafted what I believe to be the best iteration of Jasper yet.
Calmer and cooler, Jasper III refocuses on what made the perfume so special in the first place: the delicate balance of conifers, incense, and berries. No one note overpowers the other. Fans of the original will finally experience a cleaned up rendition of that balance, while fans of the second will recognize the perfume’s DNA in a new light, through a more serious and less fruit-forward lens.
Last summer, I was fortunate enough to glissade along the Haute route, from Chamonix to Zermatt. While this perfume will always stay true to my scent-memories within Jasper National Park, some of this reformulation was informed by my experiences along that high-alpine route. From the thyme and wildflowers I encountered, to the blue walled crevasse I fell in, and the Hugo spritzes I enjoyed after it was all said and done…
Top-notes of Wild Blackberries, Boronia, Copal, Palo Santo, Juniper Berries, Canadian Hemlock and Century Old Canadian Fir Absolute
Heart notes of Wild Mountain Thyme, Green Kyen Agarwood,Wild Elderberries, Blue Water Lily and Wild Tigerwood from Yaseen.
Base notes of Green Sacra Absolute, Jade Wood, White Ambergris, and Pine Needle Absolute.
