One of one.
This past month has been full of reflection, gratitude, and growth. As 2024 fades away, I wanted to let Folkwinds go out with one last bang.
First and Last things.
Take By and By, and drench it in the most sublime Oud-rose-galiah one could dream, and that’ll leave you with First and Last Things.
First things.
This is the first time I’ve ever been able to afford materials such as vintage Kashmiri musk, or vintage gardenia absolute from the Omani treasury; materials such as orris absolute with 80% irone content; materials such as wild, sinking grade Hainan agarwood oil. This is the first time I’ve ever been able to afford to use pure neroli as a top-note. No citrus oils. No accords. Pure, true neroli.
Last things.
To celebrate By-and-By, which, in my opinion, was my personal triumph of 2024, I’ve used up the very last drops of my discontinued honeysuckle absolute (the one which gave heart to Santi Ana) ; I’ve used up the very last drops of my wild Pontianak oil circa 2005; I’ve used up the last dregs of my original white ambergris tincture (the one which powered Jasper no Kōdo into a cult classic).
I’ll be the first to admit this is a very expensive perfume. But to the lucky collector who happens to grab this, I do promise it’ll be worth your investment; and please do cherish this bottle. Treat it like an heirloom, because to me, it is.
I’ve wrapped up this bottle in my very last indigo bandana.
50ml extrait, suspended in pure musk and ambergris tincture.
One final note; this is not reflective of my regular pricing, nor will this influence future pricing of my products. This one of one limited edition just happened to be incredibly expensive to produce.
